Big Bass teaches bass guitar from the very beginning, with short step-by-step lessons made only for bass. You start with the strings, one finger per fret and alternate plucking.
The Foundations course, the tuner, and the metronome and drums are included without Pro. Every lesson plays back at a steady tempo so you can hear it first.
How Big Bass does it
- Tune up with the chromatic mic tuner, which reads down to low B.
- Start Foundations: meet the strings, one finger per fret, alternate plucking and the octave shape.
- Choose Tab, Notes or Both, then listen to the lesson at a steady tempo.
- Play along with backing drums in rock, funk and 3/4 grooves.
- Move on with Pro to Grooves, Slap and technique, and Scales.
Questions
Does it fit my bass?
Yes. It works with 4, 5 and 6-string basses and drop D, and lessons adapt to your strings.
I already play. Do I have to start over?
No. You can skip ahead to the lessons you need.
Can I practice to my own songs?
Yes. Jam, a Pro feature, imports songs you own from Files, slows them to 50 to 100 percent speed without changing the pitch, and loops a section from A to B.
