Coildex checks hair product ingredients against your own hair profile. Scan a barcode in the aisle, or paste a full ingredient list, and it tells you what suits your hair type and porosity.
The Analyzer sorts a list into Good, Caution and Avoid, customized to your sensitivities, water type and damage factors. It is made for Type 3a through 4c hair.
How Coildex does it
- Open the Aisle Scanner and scan the product barcode.
- See whether you already own the product and whether it duplicates something in your routine.
- Read whether the ingredient list is a good match for your hair type and porosity.
- Tap any single ingredient for a personalized "for your hair" verdict.
- Rate products as you use them, so your Hair Guide can star ingredients you have loved and flag ones that let you down.
Questions
Can it catch clashes between products?
Yes. It watches for clashes inside a routine, such as protein on protein, silicones blocking a leave-in, or surfactants stripping your conditioner.
Are product reviews useful for my hair?
Reviews are filtered by hair type, porosity and texture, so you see what worked for someone with hair like yours.
Can I change how the app reads?
Yes. Coildex has dark mode and an OpenDyslexic font toggle.
