Folklore — Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of Folklore ("the app"), published by Hello Good Day LLC. By using the app, you agree to these Terms.

License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use Folklore on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service.

Your content

You own the family history you create in Folklore — names, dates, notes, and photos. You are responsible for the content you add and for having the right to use any photos you import. Because your data is stored on your device and in your private iCloud, you are responsible for its backup and safekeeping. We recommend exporting a GEDCOM archive periodically.

Folklore Pro

Folklore Pro is available as a one-time purchase (Lifetime) or as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly).

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription any time in the iOS Settings app under your Apple account.
• The Lifetime option is a single payment with no recurring charge.
• Payment is charged to your Apple account at confirmation of purchase. Purchases are subject to Apple's standard terms; refunds are handled by Apple.

Acceptable use

Do not use Folklore to store unlawful content, to infringe others' rights, or to attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the app beyond what the law allows.

Photo restoration

Photo restoration tools enhance images on your device. Results vary with the source photo. The feature does not guarantee any particular quality of result and does not alter or delete your original files outside the app.

No warranty

Folklore is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that your data will never be lost. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hello Good Day LLC is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
