Rows & Stitches
An Apple Watch row counter for crochet and knitting
Rows & Stitches lets you count rows on your Apple Watch by tapping the screen or turning the Digital Crown. Your phone needs to be nearby, and you do not need a pattern to start.
Haptic feedback confirms each count, so you can keep your eyes on your hook or needles. Apple Watch is included in the free version.
How Rows & Stitches does it
- Create a project on your iPhone. You can leave the pattern out if you only want to count.
- Open that project on your iPhone. Its counters then appear on your Watch.
- Tap or turn the Digital Crown to add a row, and feel the haptic as it lands.
- Pick up later on any device. Free iCloud sync keeps your projects and counters in step across iPhone, iPad and Watch.
Questions
Do I need a pattern to count on my Watch?
No. Create a project with no pattern, open it on your iPhone, and its counters appear on the Watch.
Can I track more than one count at a time?
Yes. Each project can hold multiple counters for rows, repeats and stitch sections, and the free version allows five per project.
Does it cost anything?
The app and Apple Watch counting are free. A one-time Lifetime unlock adds unlimited projects, step-by-step pattern parsing, per-row notes and Family Sharing, with no subscription.
